In order to avoid any conflict of interests, the content of the metals we handle
is determined by commercial testers who as sworn-in and who are not dependent
on our company in any way.

Quality

Fine metals such as Gold, Silver, Platinum, Palladium, and all Gold alloys to be used
in the jewellery market are manufactured exclusively in our workshops by experienced professionals.

Traceability

In 2007, Aurfina created a dedicated refining unit, ensuring the complete traceability
of our metals. We are currently the first company to refine fair trade Gold, which has been extracted
using artisanal mining techniques in accordance with the standards imposed by the Alliance for Responsible Mining.

Our group is a dedicated member of the Alliance for Responsible Mining.

Environmental Responsibility

Aurfina has chosen to refine precious metals that come from recycling or from responsible
artisanal mining communities, which are used to make fair trade gold. The mining industry
is one of the most polluting industries.

Annually, gold mining represents only 1.5 % of the existing stock of gold.

By handling only metals that are 100 % recycled, Aurfina takes an active part in reducing
the environmental footprint of this shifting sector.

Aurfina is the first European refiner, and internationally it is the second refiner to adhere
to the NoDirtyGold charter, which campaigns in favour of responsible gold sourcing methods.
